This panels on the front of this solid walnut murphy bed were designed to echo the style of a tansu cabinet in the collection if the homeowner. The bed stays securely locked in the upright position until the correct parts are flipped up (see bottom right photo), and then the pistons allow the bed to lower for use. This kind of a built-in bed is a great option for a guest bedroom that doubles as an office, studio, or playroom. It is so much nicer than a sofa bed!

Bedroom furniture
Here is a grouping of original furniture in a bedroom setting. The large armoire, bookshelf, dresser, and poster bed are all built out of walnut.
The natural cherry bedside changing table does triple duty as nightstand and dresser. The tall painted hutch has hidden storage and display spaces. It would work well in a more public spot in a home, such as a dining room or family room. Grey is a versatile neutral color that complements most decor.
Walnut Dining Table
This table was commissioned by a favorite repeat client for dining and entertaining large groups. It was built entirely of solid walnut and measured 5’2” by 10’2”. The apron and legs featured a recessed design element. We moved the piece into the client’s new larger home and it fit nicely into this room.
Walnut Furniture, Art Deco Style
This pair of nightstands, dresser, and bathroom vanity all look great in a new master suite. The matching walnut wood, modern lines, splayed legs, and chrome art deco hardware work well with the silver fabric-covered headboard and blue walls. In this case, the client found a furniture elsewhere online and wanted a whole suite of furniture custom made to fit this room. The effect is a serene and luxurious escape. There is also a matching wooden panel on the jacuzzi tub (not pictured) on the wall opposite the double vessel vanity with storage tower. The glass tile work was beautiful throughout the bathroom and into the large shower. Additionally, there was a dressing vanity built for this bedroom set, designed after the below photo that the client provided.
Mendham, NJ Kitchen
A custom kitchen inspired bu the style of Christopher Peacock. It features true divided light glass upper doors, a cherry furniture-style hutch, and wood-paneled appliances.

Walnut Oval Coffee Table
This beautiful table was designed and photographed by Bill Horan, built by the Springhouse Woodshop. Quite a lovely piece with the lower shelf, flared legs, and custom drawer pull (which has a kind of Asian feel or recalls a skateboard, to me at least). Dimensions are 27″ deep x 56″ wide x 17″ high.
