With Glossy White Lacquer and shiny brass details, this custom vanity is all ready to ship to Los Angeles, California.
This piece features four dovetailed drawers on self-closing soft-close undermount slides, two doors (one with a cubby for storing a hair dryer) and a flip-down center section and flip up mirrored top.
Here are two Black Walnut Credenzas being delivered to Manhattan today. They feature solid slab construction with veneered doors with no hardware visible on the exterior. The doors push to open. Drawers are constructed of dovetailed matching walnut.
The smaller Credenza (two doors) is for a living room and serves as a bar- see interior below.
The three door Credenza (interior pictured above) is destined for a Dining room.
When space is at a premium, it helps to have built-ins that do double duty, like this white murphy bed with storage cabinets, a pull-out nightstand counter, drawers, and a fold-down desk with whiteboards. This piece was installed in Chelsea, New York City, and the modern white satin lacquer looked great against the blue wall. Arch pulls from Lee Valley Hardware. Only a custom cabinetmaker can produce a piece that fits a unique apartment wall like a glove.
A family with four children needed a new solution for sleeping arrangements and these bunk beds were the solution. It has a central ladder and is framed by a matching bookcase and simple desk with a drawer and shelves. Everything is painted in lacquer matched to Benjamin Moore White Dove.
Catalpa trees are native to our area, and Alderfer lumber had some gorgeous slabs available when the time came to build this dining table. The table is either 42” round or 66” long with the leaf in.
The design features curved legs on casters and a little shelf under the table top. The wood has been lightly stained, shellacked, and lacquered. This piece was commissioned by Mona Ross Berman Interiors for a Manhattan client.
We’ve moved the woodshop to a much larger, very well lit space. This Walnut Demilune and White Bedroom Built-In are the first of many, many beautiful pieces that will be created in our new shop.

Today this striking entry cabinet moved to a residence in Washington DC, a few blocks from the capitol.
When the home’s front door is opened, it is now the first thing you see! Finished in waterborne lacquer matched to Benjamin Moore White Dove and Cool Aqua the piece is topped with a dramatic sweeping pediment. The bottom has storage for shoes, and the open shelf on the right awaits a custom cushion. Hooks will hold coats, and the door is decked in decorative metal grille.
Inspired by the stands that hold and display precious antiques, the Artifact Bed, shown here in King size, built with rare spalted wormy Pennsylvania Sugar Maple, is a knockout. The headboard has a comfortable lean to it and the lumber is on display, featured in this simple modern design. The worms are dead and gone, of course, since the lumber has been kiln dried and aged and sanded and finished with a waterborne lacquer, but their paths snake through the wood, leaving captivating traces of their existence in what was once a tree.
