This project started when a client in Philadelphia sent a photo of a table that she liked. It was simple and modern, with clean lines and thick legs. We put together some stain samples, and she chose natural walnut (our favorite).
The table that we made is built entirely of solid walnut and can go from 6 feet long to 9 feet long with the addition of two leaves. We decided that a fifth leg was in order to create stability over the span. The tabletop is recessed and the apron is continuous with no overhang.
