Modern Bedside Table
Substantial 3” thick legs display a nearly white Caesarstone top on this bold Parsons style occasional table. Caesarstone is made from quartz and should be less likely to stain or scratch compared to marble or other light colored natural stone surfaces. That way, you can rest your red wine or coffee nearby without worrying about marks on your tabletop.
The size of this table is 36” Wide x 20” Deep x 17” High. It is constructed of solid Pennsylvania Maple toned to a deep nearly black brown and finished with satin waterborne lacquer.
the Long Dresser
Inspired by a slightly smaller mahogany dresser, this Long dresser will provide ample storage for clothes in a Nantucket summer home.
This baby is big: 84” wide x 35” high and 24” deep.
The case is a very large dovetailed rectangle flanked by chunky towers of old- growth Douglas Fir. The four drawers and remainder of the piece are sustainably harvested Pennsylvania Maple toned to a rich dark brown and sealed with a waterborne lacquer.
The drawers are modern and sleek with barely noticeable recesses to open them . They are also dovetailed and employ soft close undermount slides.
Next up are a lovely black antique inspired dresser and a modern parsons style end table. All three pieces will share a bedroom designed by Mona Ross Berman.
Grey Campaign Dresser
This gunsmoke grey campaign dresser with brass hardware was recently delivered to its new home in Hoboken, New Jersey.
The client requested a removable tray top with spaces for the changing pad and baby wipes.
The piece houses seven dovetailed drawers on undermount slides. The finish is a satin waterborne lacquer protected by a coat of clear wax.
Constructed of Pennsylvania Maple, the entire carcass of the dresser and base were constructed using dovetail joints.

In the Shop: White Lacquer Armoire
This White Maple Armoire was designed for a client in Hoboken, NJ and features a sleek, hardware-free look. The doors open with a push, the drawers have sculpted handhold cutouts.
In this second drawing, a similar handhold is shown in the left door, but after the piece came together we were able to share a video of the doors in action. The decision was made to skip the asymmetrical door handhold, since it wasn’t needed. The chrome hanging bar is now in place in the upper section.
Drawing for Armoire, Bookcase
This drawing of a custom armoire is for a client in Hoboken, NJ who wanted something in the Hollywood Regency style to house items for her baby, expected later this spring.
The feet, apron, doors, and drawers are subtly curved. The bottom drawers provide storage for the parents, too. The Knob back plates may be this brass deco piece against a gloss white lacquer.
This walnut bookcase will live down the hall from the Manhattan Mudroom built-in.
Walnut Murphy Bed
This Custom Walnut Murphy Bed, commissioned by interior designer Adele Danziger, features a bookcase and roll out nightstand, and has matching wooden pulls. The piece, which measures 96” tall 83” wide 18” deep, houses a queen bed in an addition on a historic Bucks County farmhouse. The cut out in the nightstand counter provides a convenient handhold for getting in and out of bed.

In the shop: Walnut Wall bed, Sassafras headboard
In progress, to be delivered next week, we have this beautiful Walnut Murphy Bed. The design of the front is new, and it features a sculpted wood handle. The curved horizontal element flips 90 degrees to become the foot of the bed when it is folded down. Under the bookcase is a roll out nightstand.
Also awaiting finish and delivery is this Sassafras King Sized headboard. It will get a dark stain to match the existing bedroom furniture in a Montgomery County, PA home.
Campaign Dresser Feedback
We received a lovely note from a client this morning in our inbox. It is always nice to hear that the work is appreciated in our client’s space and life.
Interior design pro Ilana Cohen commissioned this white campaign dresser for her new daughter’s nursery. Thank you for the feedback!
It looks really sharp with the white/ bright color scheme.

“Just wanted to send some photos of the dresser in Zoe’s room.
I am still thrilled with it!!!”
Walnut Wall Bed
Here is a sketch for the next job, a Walnut wall bed going into an addition on an old stone farmhouse in Churchville, Pennsylvania.
This piece is for designer Adele Danziger, a former RN who specializes in Universal Access Home Design, or making the home more accessible for people of various abilities, age, and physical abilities.
To the right of the bed there will be several adjustable shelves and underneath is a roll-out cart on fixed casters, with a pullout surface. The top rail of the bed flips up to become the foot that it rests on when it is folded down from the wall. The end of the piece will be paneled by the doorway, to match the piece. This built-in will be sharing the room with walnut furniture by George Nakashima! We think that’s pretty special.
